A Product Engineer Front End (“PEFE”) is responsible for working directly with product managers, designers and engineers to build modular, testable and reusable frontend components within Tresata’s own software products to solve consumer business problems. 

As a Tresata PEFE, you will conduct testing of features to ensure products are functional and running smoothly at high performance levels. The PEFE is expected to follow best practices of design and development to implement these software products to create as much value for the consumer as possible. You will be expected to create practical solutions in an Agile/Devops environment through identifying and researching possible solutions to consumer problems, staying up to date with the newest technologies, best practices and delivering on proposed solutions. You will apply the best practices for development of web applications which follow the complete product development lifecycle. In addition, you will use modern front-end build pipelines (Maven, Gradle, Jenkins) and versioning tools such as GIT and GITLAB, as well as write detailed technical documentation for your work.

Success in this role requires collaboration across the organization and understanding the business technical requirements to build, test and integrate front end components with Tresata’s software products . You will collaborate directly with stakeholders, customers and developers to provide exceptional service. This team member will also need to work cross functionally within the product team to analyze, design and ship new features. The PEFE should be comfortable working with geographically dispersed teams to deliver product solutions.


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical or engineering field.
  • 1 – 4 year(s) of experience in React/Node.js with in-depth knowledge of both.
  • Experience in developing rich applications with HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • Experience developing web services using any of the following: Node.js, Scala, Python or Java.
  • The ability to design and build efficient, well tested, and reusable User Interface custom components using JavaScript, React.js, Node.js HTML5, CSS,and other JS driven web frameworks.
  • Experience in REST API development, the document request model, and offline storage
  • Experience with the design and implementation of data structures and algorithms.
  • A thorough understanding of HTTP, SSL protocol and how they work.
  • Preferable to have experience in integrating applications with various authentication mechanisms like SAML/OAuth2/OAuth, etc.
  • Preferable to have familiarity with open source technologies such as Elasticsearch, Cytoscape, Hadoop or Spark.
  • Preferable to have experience working and developing applications using services of cloud platforms like GCP/AWS/Azure.
